Avengers: Age of WHY DIDN’T HAWKEYE DIE?

TheInsecureSnake –

STOP, MAJOR SPOILERS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. UNLESS YOU DON’T CARE, THEN CONTINUE FORTH.

In order to avoid being a biased Marvel fan while writing about this particular movie, I am going to take the time to release all my pent up  fandom out in the next few (or many) lines.

AVENGERS AGE OF MOTHER FUCKING ULTRON. HOLY SHIT. (Language). Seriously how amazing was that movie??? Setting aside the fact that once again Marvel studios nailed the freaking casting (Thank you so much for your existence, James Spader) this was by far, in my personal opinion, the second best Marvel movie ever made. First being “Guardians of the Galaxy” because lets face it…

Chris Pratt.

Everything from the aforementioned casting to the amazing twisted plot line and down to the beautifully done CGI work managed to capture my heart and my soul. When I watch a movie that makes me forget that I’m sitting in an uncomfortable AMC theater, you know it’s a good movie.

Okay enough scaring you guys away with my weird marvel obsession. Let’s talk facts.
Let’s start with the plot. Marvel did a fairly good job staying to true to the comic book story line save for Ultron’s true origin and the movie possibly overlooking the fact that the Maximoff twins are the children of magneto (Most likely due to Disney’s lack of owning the X-Men). Despite this however, Marvel played it very smart. In order to keep the audience captivated and interested, they dropped the fact that Hank Pym (Ant Man) created Ultron. Why? Simply because Iron Man made more sense in the Hollywood aspect of it all.
If someone came to you and told you Ant Man created Ultron, you’d be so much less interested than if Iron Man created him. To me, that was an extremely smart move on Marvel’s part.
In addition, Iron Man creating Ultron paved an amazing path for the Upcoming Captain America: Civil War, giving Cap and Stark something else to argue about. Plus, let’s be honest, it’s so much more logical for Iron Man to fuck up badly enough to create Ultron. Possibly the most interesting change Marvel made was Quicksilver’s death. Most of you know, Quicksilver was featured in the previous “X men: Days of Future Past” which angered the crap out of me when he was recasted for AoU because, c’mon Marvel. CONSISTENCY IS KEY. I mean, I understand why they were forced to do this, what with FOX being dicks and all, but still. Cleverly enough, however, in order to fix the whole two Quicksilvers controversy, they went ahead and killed him off.
Now I have two things to say about this
1. FUCK YOU FOR MESSING WITH MY FEELINGS
2. Well played Marvel, very well played.

By killing him off, which honestly was super super unexpected and saddening, they eliminated that paradox.
What pissed me off is that the entire movie they made it look like Hawkeye was going to die -_- and then right when everyone thinks “this is it for Hawkeye,” Fucking Pietro has to be a smart mouth hero.

“You didn’t see that coming.” NO WE MOTHER FUCKING DID NOT ASSHOLES. HOW DARE YOU KILL HIM OFF WITHOUT tumblr_nnnvnaRrSK1tht7obo5_400ANY WARNING WHAT SO EVER. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO GO BE WITH HIS SISTER. DO YOU KNOW HOW YOU MADE WANDA FEEL? SHE WAS SO SAD SHE VAPORIZED EVERYONE AROUND HER. SHE DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO SEE HIM DIE, SHE FREAKING FELT IT. ASSHOLES.
No but seriously, rage mode Scarlet Witch is scary as shit. Like she literally just vaporized them all. They freaking vanished. Like no trace. Completely… Holy shit…

Moving on to the insane amount of easter eggs in this movie. Pretty much everything in the pelicula was literally just a set up for the upcoming phenomenons Marvel has in store.
The infinity gems, as everyone probably knows by now, are playing a bigger and bigger role in the MCU as they will be the main cause of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes going up against Thanos.

SIDE NOTE: For those of you who don’t know, one of the main reasons Thanos is so damn angry and wants to kill everything is because he was in love with Death. Death is basically the Grim Reaper of the Marvel Universe. She lives in the afterlife and Thanos was completely friend zoned by her. This angered him to the point that he decided to destroy the universe. Moral of the story: Thanos just needs to be loved :]

Sorry, back on track. We have now seen four out of the six infinity stones/gems. The space stone (The Tesseract), The power stone ( from Guardians of the Galaxy), the reality stone (from Thor: The Dark World), and the Mind Stone, which currently resides in Visions forehead and allows him to shoot out really cool beams to blast his enemies!
These stones are basically the whole point of the MCU thus far. Everything has been leading up to the ginormous battle over these stones. A battle which was subtly shown to us in the beginning of AoU. WHERE?
Why, in Tony’s head of course. When Wanda does her witchy voodoo on Tony’s mind in the beginning of the movie, he sees total destruction and all his allies dead on the floor. Most people assumed this was a hint at what was to come with Ultron but as we all saw, Ultron only killed one person and barely caused any destruction at all.
The battle with Thanos, on the other hand is THE battle. My take away from this scene is that it was a huge foreshadow as to what is to come in that much anticipated two part movie. To further justify my point, seen laying in the pile is what may be Black Panther and Ms. Marvel, two characters we do not yet recognize, dead in Tony’s vision. Seeing as they are two stars of upcoming movies before the Avengers 3, it is safe to assume they were in fact in that foreshadow. the huge hint however was Captain America’s shield was split in half.

Any real Marvel fan knows that this happens to his shield by Thanos. So bravo to Marvel for dropping that HUGE but very subtle hint at the ultimate battle.

In addition to future Avengers foreshadowing, hints for Black Panther were dropped as well. They mentioned Wakanda several times. They even went there for the Vibranium. So, YAY FOR BLACK PANTHER <333

As far as movies go, not just in the comic sense, I’d say this movie also scored very high. The acting and casting was brilliant as always. Where else are you going to find an actor who is pretty much his character in real life too. Here’s looking at you Robert. ;] And James Spader did a more than excellent job portraying Ultron. When an actor is able to just voice an character and still capture his/her essence, then they are excellent at what they do. We see this with Paul Bettany before he even became Vision. Jarvis, although being just artificial intelligence, was portrayed as such a lovable character thanks to Bettany’s talent. I mean… VISION IS WORTHY.

It’s no surprise that in a Marvel movie, the casting couldn’t be better. We’ve seen this time and time again with Wolverine, Iron Man, Charles Xavier, and even the upcoming Deadpool (played by the Sexy Hunk himself, Ryan Reynolds).

Let’s not overlook the amazing graphics and visuals in this movie. The amazing fight scene where they are defending the key in the center of the temple was nothing short of spectacular. Every little detail of the scene stood out and did well to highlight the battle style and skills of each and every character. Despite how ridiculous it looks without the special effects.     tumblr_noir7fnGjF1tg0dk0o1_500Look at Evans go, beating the shit out of that floor.

And once again, Hulk’s transformation and Stark’s suits became even more visually stunning. I thank technology, for constantly advancing and allowing us to make Mark Ruffalo ripping out of his clothes, even sexier.

If you have seen this movie, let me know what you thought of it. Do you agree or disagree with anything I’ve written? What upcoming Marvel movie are you excited for? And lastly, on a scale of 1-Toby Maguire, how ugly did you look crying over Quicksilver’s death 😥
If you haven’t seen this movie… what the hell did you read this for? I just spoiled the whole thing. Dumbass. -_-
